The chart below gives information about global population percentages and distribution of wealth by region. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.
Version 1
The bar graph compares the percentage of the global population versus the wealth distribution by region. Overall, countries with a larger population have a lesser percentage of shares of wealth except for Europeans.
About one-fourth of the population are Chinese but only around 4.5% of the wealth which is similar to countries like Latin America and the Caribbean and some other Asian countries in the Pacific. Indians and Africans have the lowest amount of wealth, accounting for only less than three percent and having a higher population, 15%, and 10% respectively. Although Europe may have a similar percentage of the population to India, Europe holds another third of the world’s wealth.
Around six percent of the world’s population is in North America, yet almost a third of the world’s wealth belongs to this region. A similar pattern to other rich developed countries in the Pacific which holds almost a quarter of the world’s wealth.

The bar graph compares the percentage of the global population versus the wealth distribution by region. Overall, the majority of the wealth belongs to western while the majority of the population are in Asia
Asian countries hold the largest percentage of the population such as China which holds over a fourth of the overall population, and an additional 15% in India and other Asian countries in the Pacific. However, these countries only have less than five percent of the world’s wealth which is an identical pattern to Africa and Latin America including the Caribbean with ten and seven percent of the world’s population respectively.
North America has the third world’s wealth while only having around six percent of the world’s population which is similar to Rich-Asia-Pacific. This region has a quarter of the world’s wealth while Europe has 15% of the population but still has a third of the world’s wealth.
