Do you like getting up early in the morning?
- I struggle to wake up early in the morning. I hate waking up at 09 AM and would rather sleep in. When I do wake up early, I often experience headaches.
- I consider myself an early bird, I usually get up at half past four and I can accomplish a lot of things while other people are still asleep. By the time they wake up, I am already in the middle of my daily task. In addition, I have the chance to appreciate the fresh air.
-
What do you usually do in the morning?
- I wake up at 09 and after checking my phone for a few minutes, I freshen up and fix myself breakfast. Then, I spend some time reviewing yesterday’s lessons.
- I wake up around 4:30 AM then I would still in bed but I check my phone and read some current news or short quotes to motivate me. I also check my schoolwork to make sure that I haven’t left anything or to correct my answers.

What did you do in the morning when you were little? Why?
- As a child, my mom helped me get ready for school. Classes started at 7 AM, so we had to wake up by 5 AM. My mom would cook while I got ready and we left the house by 6 AM to catch the train. We arrived at school by 6:45 AM.
- When I was in elementary, my mother would help me prepare for school. My class starts at 7 AM so we have to wake up at least two hours before that. Around 5 am, my mom would start cooking while I prepared for school by 6:00 AM we were out of the house and went to the train station. We arrive at the school grounds around 6:45 AM.
- When I was young it was a struggle to wake up at six in the morning, I was not an early bird then. I have to grab some of my breakfast and head to school straightaway then my schedule was full in the morning so by lunchtime we were all exhausted.
-
Are there any differences between what you do in the morning now and what you did in the past?
- As a child, I had to stick to an early morning schedule for school. But now, being an adult, I have more flexibility in choosing my own schedule. Before, I had to review a lot in the morning, but now I just do light reading in the mornings.
- Although I wake up early in the morning that is on my own will unlike before I need to force myself to wake up now, I am very comfortable getting up early in the morning. Another is that when I was in primary, most of the classes are in the morning so when I entered college, I made sure that all subjects are in the afternoon or evening.
-
Do you spend your mornings doing the same things on both weekends and weekdays? Why?
- On weekends, I prefer to wake up late, usually around 11 AM or noon, since I don’t have classes. However, during the weekdays, I must wake up at 9 AM as I have classes. Additionally, on weekend mornings, I sometimes forgo breakfast and just have lunch and dinner instead.
